PMI funded study on the transition of PMOs

We invite you to participate in a survey “PMOs in transition”. The aim of this survey is to better understand why PMOs change so often. Previous research has shown first that PMOs vary greatly from one organisation to the next and second that most PMOs change quite frequently. This survey gathers data on a PMO change itself, the organizational context and the PMO characteristics before and after the change.

This study is part of an ongoing research project on PMOs at the Project Management Research Chair, University of Quebec at Montreal and in collaboration with the Umeå School of Business, Sweden. The project is funded in part by the PMI Research Department. Results will be available in the first quarter of 2009.
