Aspects of leadership in a culturally challenged organization running a complex project
The context of the presentation shares the challenges and experiences as a start-up project manager. The information and examples relate to transforming small and unorganized entities to more structured and medium sized setups. How virtual teams can be managed through innovation and renovation, where vast cultural influences and varying expectations of the stakeholders exists. The discussion focuses on the aspect of leadership which becomes truly vital in a complex environment, in regards to improving continually using the project management activities.
Syed Zaidi, PMP, is an aspiring project manager at Scania IT AB. With eight years of experience in diverse fields such as IT, automotive and publishing, he is driven by building processes and performance for his projects and ongoing operations. Mr. Syed’s areas of expertise include constructing organizational structures and processes, service management systems, continuous improvement models and agile pm. He holds a master‘s degree in communication and interactivity from Linköping University, Sweden and a bachelor’s degree in computing from the University of Huddersfield in the UK.
